In the second part of this module, the Tower will be fully exported in Rhino as Nurbs for the creation of standard Slabs and we will start the production of 2d drawings – plans and sections – and learn the best techniques for 3d diagrams. All Elements will be designed in lowpoly except the exterior envelope which will be taken to a higher level of subdivision for the creation of a Façade Louver System. Like in a Professional Practice, the Tower will be categorized into its architectural elements: Exterior Envelope Interior Envelope Structure Façade System Slabs Landscape Drop-Off. The first part will complete a clean lowpoly model of the overall shape through very simple techniques. The Class starts using Maya to create the Twisting Tower. You won’t need any specific level of Rhino to follow up, all the techniques required are very basic and will be fully covered. In a Professional Practice all buildings are modelled and created in Maya and all the architectural drawings and planning is done in Rhino. The main goal of this module is to teach you how to produce a 3d model and 2d architectural drawings of a Tower through an interoperability workflow between Maya and Rhino. ![]()
